The Macey Gard band of Portland, Oregon continues to enjoy substantial online success with their version of Dr. Bob’s “New Romeo.” As we head into 2023, Macey Gard’s YouTube numbers for their “New Romeo” video continue to impress as the song also garners regional radio play. The Macey version of the song features brilliant juxtaposition of retro pop and rap. The Macey Gard band features Dr. Bob co-founder Bets Pott who also remains active with her original band. “New Romeo” was written by Dr. Bob founder Jeffrey Howrey and was originally released on our third album in 1998.
